What languages does Fantastical understand?

Fantastical's natural language engine supports and automatically detects input in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. The days of the week and months in the calendar, the event list, and the menu bar icon will reflect your Mac's Language & Text settings. How do I change date and time formatting or the first day of the week?

Fantastical uses your Mac's system setting for the date, time, and first day of the week. You can change your formats by clicking the "Date & Time Formats..." button in Fantastical's Calendar preferences.

I'm a BusyCal user. Why aren't my BusyCal calendars working?

You'll need to add your calendars to iCal. Once your calendars have been added to iCal, you don't need to leave iCal open.

How can I move the Fantastical's menu icon in my menu bar?

First, download the Fantastical menu extra. After downloading the menu extra:

1. Move the menu extra into a folder for safekeeping
2. Double-click the menu extra
3. Hold the command key down and click and drag to move the menu extra into place.

How do I select a specific calendar when entering an event or searching?

You can specify a calendar by using a slash (/) at the beginning or end of a sentence. Even easier, you only need the first character of a calendar. For example, /w or /h would create your event in the Work or Home calendars, respectively. You can be more specific if you have multiple calendars with similar names, such as /pe for Personal and /pr for Private.

Does Fantastical sync with my iOS device?

Yes. Just make sure your calendars are in iCal and that you sync your calendars to your iOS device with a CalDAV service such as MobileMe, iCloud, or Google Calendar. You can also sync local calendars on your Mac using iTunes.

How many Macs can I use Fantastical on with my license?

A license purchased from the Flexibits Store is for a single user. You can use Fantastical on as many Macs as you own. If you want to use Fantastical with multiple users on more than one machine, you'll need to purchase additional licenses.

Do you offer education discounts?

Outlook and Entourage keep launching whenever I use Fantastical. Why is this?

Fantastical communicates with Outlook and Entourage using AppleScript. AppleScript requires that these applications remain open. If you quit Outlook or Entourage while Fantastical is open, they will automatically reopen the next time you use Fantastical.

I use Outlook and have added invitees but I see a confirmation dialog. What is this?

Outlook has a warning message that prevents a malicious script from spamming people with event invitations. You need to confirm adding attendees through Outlook before the invitation sends. If you ignore this warning, you will need to restart Outlook for invitations via Fantastical to work.
